RECENT WHATSAPP FEATURES

The Meta Company is rolling out new features. To enjoy these features keep your app updated.

1. Larger group capacity: WhatsApp has increased the group limit to 512 people.

2. Large participants in voice calls: WhatsApp has increased the group voice call limit to up to 32 people from 8 people.

3. Emoji Reactions: This feature allows users to react to chat messages using Emojis. However, the Emoji reactions are limited to just six emojis, for now, they are Thumbs up, Red heart, Face with tears of joy, Hushed face, Crying face, and Folded hands emojis.

4. Admins can delete unwanted messages:  Admins can delete a message that does not go against the group rules. Once the admin deletes the message, it’ll no longer be available to any member of the group.

5. Chat Filters: Users will be able to filter chats by unread chats, contacts, non-contacts, and groups. Currently, users can only find chats by tapping the search button in the three-dot menu and searching for individual messages.

6. Save images/videos directly: Instead of asking a member to send you a particular video or image in a group. You can save it to your gallery directly.

7. Reaction to a status update: WhatsApp has worked on a feature where you can react to status updates, for now, they are mute, message, voice call, video call, and view contact.
Meanwhile, there will be additional features where you can react with emojis on status updates soon.
